A textured glass pendant for kitchen islands and dining rooms, finished in warm brass with a clear hobnail glass shade.
The Kantor pendant brings a bubbly, tactile look to a room. Its gourd-shaped shade is made of clear hobnail glass, so the light plays across hundreds of small raised bumps instead of shining through flat glass. The warm brass finish has a soft golden tone that suits traditional and transitional interiors, and the black cloth cord adds a subtle contrast. It is a good choice when you want a pendant that reads as a design detail, not just a light source.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung singly or in a row of two or three
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens over a table
- Foyers and entryways where a single statement pendant is enough
- Bedrooms and reading nooks that need a warm accent light
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this pendant is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms where you need a very bright primary light - one 60W bulb gives accent-level output
- Low ceilings under about 8 ft if you want the full 138 in hanging length
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With one 60W bulb it delivers accent-level light, similar to a single bright table lamp - enough to light a small table or highlight a countertop, but not a whole room on its own.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb you choose. With a warm white bulb (around 2700K-3000K) the clear hobnail glass throws a soft, golden glow with lots of sparkle and shadow play. The fixture is dimmable, so you can pair it with a compatible dimmer switch to take it from bright task light down to a low evening glow.
Sizing and fit
The pendant is 11 in wide and 11 in deep, with an 18 in body height. The rod-hung height adjusts from 18 in to 138 in, so it works over standard 8-9 ft ceilings as well as taller rooms. The canopy is 5.13 in wide and 0.75 in high. The glass shade is 11.88 in wide and 16 in tall. Weighs 3.97 lbs.
