A modern 1-light wall sconce with a cubic white fabric shade and matte black backplate, sized for bedrooms, hallways, and powder rooms.
The Collins sconce takes the classic square and makes it feel fresh. A crisp cubic shade of white fabric sits in front of a matte black backplate, so the light reads soft and tailored rather than hard-edged. The matte black finish keeps it graphic and modern, and it layers easily with black hardware, industrial accents, or a neutral palette.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted on either side of the bed as a reading light or as a pair flanking a dresser
- Hallways and stairwells where you want a repeated, evenly spaced accent light
- Powder rooms and bathrooms, since the fixture is damp area rated
- Living rooms and entryways, used solo or in groupings of two or three
Not ideal for
- Shower stalls, saunas, or any location with direct water spray - this sconce is damp rated, not wet rated
- Outdoor porches and patios - it is not rated for outdoor use
- Rooms where you need a primary light source; at 60W max this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because it depends on the bulb you choose. With a 60W-equivalent LED it produces roughly 800 lumens - about as bright as a traditional 60W incandescent bulb. That is accent-level light, ideal for reading, ambience, or guiding a hallway, not for lighting a whole room on its own.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulb, not the fixture. A 2700K-3000K warm white bulb gives a soft, golden glow that flatters skin tones and wood furniture. The white fabric shade diffuses the bulb so you see a gentle wash of light rather than a bare point source.
Sizing and fit
The sconce is 11.5 in tall, 5.5 in wide, and extends 6.25 in from the wall. The backplate measures 4.72 in wide by 7.09 in tall. That footprint suits standard 8-9 ft ceilings and works well on narrow wall segments between windows or beside a bed. Install direction is up.
