A 48-inch eighteen-light chandelier for grand dining rooms and two-story foyers, finished in matte black with clear glass shades.
Viscount scales up for the biggest spaces. Eighteen clear glass shades on a matte black steel frame deliver even, layered light across a long table or a soaring entry. It is a transitional statement piece that suits modern farmhouse, contemporary, and classic interiors alike.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a 72 in or longer table - sized to light the full surface
- Two-story foyers, stairwells, and grand entries
- Open-concept great rooms and banquet-style dining spaces
- Transitional and modern farmhouse interiors with black or mixed-metal accents
Not ideal for
- Standard 8-9 ft ceilings - the 34.75 in body plus hanging height needs a tall room
- Small dining rooms or breakfast nooks where 48 in would overwhelm the space
- Rooms that need bright task lighting - this is an ambient fixture
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. It takes eighteen candelabra-base bulbs up to 15W each, so with 60W-equivalent LEDs you get abundant, layered light for large dining and entertaining spaces. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulbs. A 2700K-3000K bulb gives a warm, golden dining-room feel; 4000K reads crisper for a foyer. The clear glass shades let the bulbs show, so decorative candelabra bulbs work well here.
Sizing and fit
Measures 48 in wide x 48 in deep x 34.75 in tall and weighs 40.26 lbs. The 10 in canopy and 12 ft cord give plenty of adjustability for high or vaulted ceilings. For a dining table, aim for 30-36 in between the bottom of the fixture and the tabletop. Ships via Truck Freight - the carrier will call to schedule a delivery window, and you will need to move the unit from the truck to its final destination.
