A 21-inch outdoor hanging lantern with a hand-riveted Earth Black frame and clear glass panels, built for front porches and covered entryways.
The Rue De Royal captures the charm of a historic gas lantern with modern electric convenience. Its hand-riveted Coastal Armour Steel frame features a fully functioning door for easy bulb access, while clear glass panels maximize light output for a bright, welcoming glow. The Earth Black finish and traditional silhouette complement a range of exterior styles.
Best for
- Front porches and covered entryways where a welcoming, traditional lantern sets the tone
- Covered patios and porticos with ceilings high enough for an 8-inch chain drop
- Exterior styles from colonial to coastal that suit a hand-riveted metal lantern
- Homeowners who want a gas-lantern look without gas lines or maintenance
Not ideal for
- Open, fully exposed locations with no overhead cover - this lantern is ETL Listed but not rated for wet locations
- Low ceilings under 8 ft where the 8-inch chain and 23.5-inch body would hang too close
- Spaces needing a very bright primary light - two candelabra bulbs provide accent-level illumination
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With two 15W candelabra-base bulbs, this lantern provides accent and ambient light - ideal for a welcoming porch glow rather than lighting a whole driveway.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. Clear glass panels let the bulbs' full output through, so warm-white bulbs will read golden and inviting, while cooler bulbs give a crisper look. Dimmability depends on your bulbs and dimmer.
