A marine-grade outdoor wall lantern for front porches and coastal entryways, finished in earth black with clear seedy glass.
Part of Quoizel's Coastal Armour collection, the Luther is built from aluminum that resists rust and salt air, so it holds up in seaside climates where ordinary steel lanterns fail. The earth black frame has a sturdy, traditional silhouette, and the clear seedy glass adds texture that softens the bulb's glare while still throwing plenty of light across a doorway.
Best for
- Front porches and entryways where you want a welcoming pool of light beside the door
- Coastal and beachfront homes that need fixtures rated to withstand salt air and humidity
- Garage side doors, mudroom entries, and covered patios
- Traditional and coastal-style exteriors with black or dark trim
Not ideal for
- Interior rooms - this is an outdoor-rated lantern designed for exterior walls
- Very small doorways where a 14.5-inch-tall lantern would overwhelm the trim
- Anyone wanting a fixture that includes the bulb - it ships without one
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It takes one medium-base bulb up to 100W, which is enough to clearly light a doorway and the area around it. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because the bulb is not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulb choice. A warm 2700K-3000K bulb suits a cozy, traditional entryway; a cooler bulb reads more crisp and modern. The clear seedy glass diffuses the light slightly for a softer, less harsh glow than clear glass.
Sizing and fit
Measures 9 in wide, 10.75 in deep, and 14.5 in tall, and weighs 5.26 lbs. It mounts facing down. This size suits single-door entries and standard porch walls; for a double-door entry, consider pairing two or stepping up to a larger Luther wall lantern.
