A 14-inch outdoor wall lantern in matte black steel with a gold braided rope accent - sized for front doors and porch entries.
Longshore pairs matte black metal with a gold braided rope detail that stands in for a traditional hook, giving the lantern a coastal feel without going nautical-kitsch. The larger 14-inch silhouette suits wider entries and taller facades.
Best for
- Front doors, mounted singly or in pairs
- Covered porches and porticos that need a slightly larger lantern
- Garages and side doors that need a focused pool of light
- Coastal, transitional, and modern farmhouse exteriors
Not ideal for
- Narrow sidelight walls where a smaller lantern would fit better
- Interiors - this is an outdoor-rated wall lantern
- Very low porch ceilings where the 12 in height could feel crowded
How bright is it?
One 100W medium-base bulb gives strong, focused light for an entryway. Exact lumen output depends on the bulb you choose - an LED around 1100 to 1600 lumens will comfortably light a doorway. Bulb is not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulb. For entries, 2700K to 3000K warm white feels welcoming; 4000K reads more security-focused. The metal shade directs light downward, reducing glare at eye level.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 14 in wide x 14.5 in deep x 12 in high, with a 6 in cord. Mounts in a down-facing position. For a single-door entry, place the lantern about 66 in above the threshold on the latch side; for double doors, use a pair flanking the opening.
