An oversized 36-inch semi-flush mount ceiling light for living rooms, bedrooms, and other spaces with lower ceilings, finished in matte black steel.
The Lawless makes a bold, contemporary statement without hanging low. Its wide rectangular steel body hugs the ceiling, making it a smart choice for rooms where a chandelier or pendant would feel cramped. The integrated LED source is energy-efficient, and a built-in CCT switch lets you dial in the color temperature at installation.
Best for
- Living rooms and great rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings that need broad, even light
- Primary bedrooms where a low-profile fixture keeps the room feeling open
- Modern, contemporary, and industrial interiors with black accents
- Open-concept spaces that need a wide light footprint rather than a single point source
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or narrow hallways - at 36 in wide, this fixture needs a generous ceiling area
- Vaulted or very high ceilings where a hanging fixture would suit the space better
- Warm brass or gold color schemes, which suit the brushed nickel version of this fixture instead
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. The fixture uses an integrated 35W LED source, which is typically comparable to a bright ceiling light for mid-size to large rooms.
Light color and feel
The CCT switch lets you select the color temperature at installation, so you can set a warm, relaxed tone for living spaces or a crisper, brighter tone for task areas. The integrated LED source is energy-efficient and dimmable.
Sizing and fit
Measures 36 in wide x 20 in deep x 5.75 in high, with a 19.75 in x 4.5 in canopy. The 5.75-inch profile suits rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, and the wide footprint works well centered over a seating area or bed.
