An 8-inch one-light outdoor wall lantern for front doors and porches, finished in mottled black with clear glass.
Lavalier borrows from classic coastal design: Slender curving lines, a sleek metal shade, and a clear glass panel that lets the bulb shine through without obstruction. The mottled black finish has a subtle, hand-finished texture that reads softer than flat black. Flank a front door with a pair, or use one as a porch light for evening entertaining.
Best for
- Front entryways - mount in pairs on either side of the door
- Covered porches and patios used for evening entertaining
- Coastal, cottage, and traditional exterior styles
- Garage side doors and secondary exterior entries
Not ideal for
- Very wide doorways where a single small lantern will look undersized
- Installations where you want a fully shielded bulb - the clear glass leaves it visible
- Interiors - this is designed as an exterior wall lantern
How bright is it?
One 60W medium-base bulb gives up to 60W of light - enough to light a doorway and cast a welcoming glow on the porch. Actual brightness depends on the bulb; a 60W-equivalent LED around 800 lumens is a typical choice.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulbs, not the fixture. For exteriors, 2700-3000K warm white feels welcoming and traditional; 4000K reads crisper and more security-oriented. Dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Measures 8 in wide x 9.25 in deep x 9.5 in tall and weighs 1.83 lbs. The compact scale suits single doors and standard porch walls; mount roughly 66-72 in above the door threshold for a balanced look.
