An 18-inch two-light bath vanity light for bathroom vanities and powder rooms, finished in matte black with opal etched glass globes.
Desmond pairs a matte black frame with brushed gold accents for a modern look that still feels warm. The opal etched glass globes diffuse the light evenly, so you get soft, flattering illumination at the mirror without glare. At 18 inches wide, it is sized for a single vanity or a smaller double.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 24-36 in vanity, mounted above the mirror
- Powder rooms and guest baths that need a clean, modern touch
- Bedroom vanities and dressing areas
- Modern, transitional, and contemporary interiors
Not ideal for
- Wide double vanities over 48 in - you would want a longer Desmond size
- Rooms where you want a fully enclosed shade - the opal glass globes are open at the base
- Outdoor or damp locations - this fixture is rated for dry indoor use only
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With two 40W G9 bulbs, it provides moderate, even light for a vanity - enough for daily grooming, not a substitute for a full-room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. A 3000K warm white bulb gives a soft, flattering glow for faces and mirrors; a 4000K bulb reads crisper for makeup and shaving. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer switch used.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 18 in wide x 7.5 in deep x 8.5 in high, with a 6 in cord. The 18-inch width suits a single vanity or a compact double; mount about 78-80 in above the floor, or roughly 6-8 in above the mirror.
