A 15.5-inch tall outdoor wall lantern in matte black with clear glass, built for front entries, porches, and coastal homes.
The Abernathy pairs traditional lantern lines with industrial accents, finished in matte black over marine-grade Coastal Armour aluminum. Clear tempered glass panels show off the bulb, so a vintage filament candelabra bulb gives the warmest, most period-correct glow. It is part of Quoizel's Coastal Armour collection, made to hold up in salt-air and harsh-weather settings.
Best for
- Front entryways and covered porches, flanking a door in pairs
- Coastal and waterfront homes where salt air and moisture are a factor
- Garage side doors, mudroom entries, and back patios
- Traditional or industrial-farmhouse exteriors in matte black
Not ideal for
- Very wide walls or tall two-story facades - at 15.5 in tall this is a smaller-scale lantern; size up to the 19.5 in version for those
- Anyone wanting a fully enclosed, glare-free look - the clear glass puts the bulb on display
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It takes one 15W candelabra-base bulb; lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. A vintage filament bulb gives a soft, decorative glow rather than task-level light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows your bulb choice. A warm 2700K filament bulb suits the traditional look and flatters brick, stone, and wood exteriors. Dimmability depends on the bulb and dimmer used.
Sizing and fit
Measures 6.5 in wide x 5.5 in deep x 15.5 in tall and weighs 4.23 lbs. The 5.5 in depth suits standard wall mounting beside a door; installs in the up position. Works on most exterior walls with standard junction-box wiring.
