It's a distinguished choice for colonial, traditional, and transitional homes.
Best for
- Front doors and entryways, mounted beside the door for welcoming light and curb appeal
- Garages and side doors, providing safety and visibility after dark
- Porches and covered patios, where its classic look complements outdoor seating areas
- Homes with colonial, traditional, or transitional architecture
Not ideal for
- Indoor use in damp or wet areas like bathrooms - this fixture is ETL listed for outdoor use but not rated for interior damp locations
- Modern or minimalist exteriors that call for sleek, contemporary lines
- Spaces where a very bright, wide flood of light is needed - this lantern provides focused, ambient illumination
How bright is it?
Uses three 15W candelabra bulbs (not included). Lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; with standard 15W bulbs, expect a soft, welcoming glow suitable for accent and safety lighting, not as a primary light source for large areas.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs installed. For a warm, inviting look, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs; for a brighter, whiter light, choose 4000K. The clear beveled glass allows maximum light output and adds sparkle.
