A hand-riveted solid copper outdoor lantern that brings the romance of antique gas lighting to your front porch or entryway.
Inspired by the gas lanterns still glowing on historic homes in New Orleans and Charleston, the Chalmers collection delivers that old-world look with all-electric convenience. The solid copper body is hand-riveted and finished in aged copper, developing a rich patina over time. Clear glass panels let the candelabra bulbs shine through, creating a warm, welcoming glow that feels timeless rather than trendy.
Best for
- Front porches and entryways where a classic, handcrafted look sets the tone for the home
- Covered patios and porticos with traditional or Southern-inspired architecture
- Homeowners who want the gas-lantern aesthetic without the hassle of a propane feed
- Exterior walls flanking a front door, mounted in pairs for symmetry
Not ideal for
- Modern or minimalist facades where the ornate copper detailing may feel out of place
- Uncovered locations with direct rain exposure if you prefer a maintenance-free finish
- Spaces where you need a very bright, wide-area light - this is an accent lantern, not a floodlight
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. With three 15W candelabra bulbs, this lantern provides a warm, moderate glow suitable for accent and entry lighting rather than primary illumination.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. Clear glass panels let the bulb color show through, so warm white bulbs will enhance the antique copper finish. Dimmable when paired with compatible dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch.
