A 48-inch rotational ceiling fan from Matthews Fan Company's Ar Ruthiane Collection, rated for damp locations like covered patios and sunrooms.
This handmade fan features high-gauge steel and mahogany blades in a chrome finish, combining durability with a refined aesthetic. Its damp rating allows installation in covered outdoor areas, making it a versatile choice for year-round comfort. Made in the USA, it's built to last.
Best for
- Covered patios, porches, and verandas where damp-rated fixtures are required
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms with high humidity
- Living rooms and great rooms up to 400 sq ft, providing strong airflow from a 48-inch sweep
- Bedrooms where a quiet, stylish fan complements the decor
- Dining areas with 8-10 ft ceilings, using the included 10-inch downrod
Not ideal for
- Fully exposed outdoor areas without overhead cover - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Small rooms under 8x8 ft where a 48-inch fan may feel oversized
- Low ceilings under 7 ft without a flush mount option
How bright is it?
This ceiling fan does not include a light kit, so brightness is not applicable. It is designed for air circulation, not illumination.
Light color and feel
No light source is included, so color temperature and dimming do not apply. The fan's chrome finish and mahogany blades create a warm, reflective aesthetic.

The fan measures 48 inches in width, 12 inches in depth, and 12 inches in height (plus downrod). The included 10-inch downrod suits standard 8-9 ft ceilings; longer downrods (5, 20, 30, 48, or 72 inches) are available for higher ceilings.
