A 40-inch, five-light chrome vanity light with white alabaster glass shades, built for bathroom vanities in traditional and transitional homes.
The French Regency collection pairs polished chrome with softly veined white alabaster glass for a clean, classic look that flatters both warm and cool bathroom palettes. The five shades spread light evenly across a wide mirror, reducing the shadows you get from a single central fixture. At 40 inches wide, it is sized for a double vanity rather than a small powder room.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 48-60 inch double vanity, mounted above the mirror
- Primary or guest baths in traditional, transitional, or French country interiors
- Anyone replacing a dated builder-grade bar light with something more substantial
- Rooms where you want even, shadow-free light across two sinks
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or single-sink vanities under 36 inches - the 40-inch width will overwhelm the space
- Bathrooms with very low ceilings if the fixture would sit too close to the mirror top
- Modern minimalist or industrial schemes - the alabaster glass and chrome read traditional
How bright is it?
With five 100W medium-base bulbs, this fixture can produce roughly 8,000 lumens total depending on the bulbs you choose - bright enough to serve as the main light source over a double vanity. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer; brightness depends on the bulbs installed.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you install. Warm white (2700K-3000K) bulbs give a soft, flattering glow for bathrooms; cool white (4000K) reads crisper for makeup and grooming. The white alabaster glass diffuses light gently and hides the bulb shape. Dimmability depends on your bulbs and wall dimmer - the fixture itself does not include a dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 40.5 inches wide x 9 inches deep x 9.25 inches high, with a backplate measuring 8 inches wide x 4.5 inches high. The fixture sits 3.5 inches from the top of the fixture to the mounting point. It suits vanities 48-60 inches wide and standard 8-9 foot bathroom ceilings.
