A 27-inch tall, 9-light chandelier in brushed nickel for dining rooms and living rooms, with a classic transitional silhouette.
The Kichler Tao chandelier combines clean lines with a warm brushed nickel finish, making it a versatile centerpiece for both traditional and contemporary spaces. Its open frame and nine lights provide ample illumination while maintaining an airy feel.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 48-60 inches long, hung 30-34 inches above the tabletop
- Living rooms and great rooms with 8-10 ft ceilings, centered over a seating area
- Open-concept spaces where a single fixture defines the dining zone
- Entryways and foyers with two-story ceilings, hung at a height that clears the door swing
- Bedrooms with tray ceilings, used as a dramatic ambient light source
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft, as the 27-inch height may feel too low
- Small powder rooms or hallways where a flush mount would be more appropriate
How bright is it?
With nine 60W incandescent bulbs (not included), the fixture can produce up to 5400 lumens - equivalent to nine 60W bulbs. This is very bright, suitable for illuminating a large dining room or living area. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The fixture itself does not emit color; the light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting ambiance, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The brushed nickel finish reflects light softly, reducing glare. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 26 inches wide and 27.25 inches tall. It is designed for dry locations only. The overall height can be adjusted with the included chain (not specified length, but typically 6-8 ft). Ensure your ceiling height is at least 8 ft for proper clearance.
