An updated traditional 4-light flush mount from Kichler's Malen collection, featuring a champagne bronze finish and a white fabric shade with satin etched glass bottom.
The Malen flush mount combines elegance with soft illumination. Its fabric drum shade nestles into champagne bronze metal uprights, while the satin etched white painted glass bottom diffuses light beautifully. Made of steel, this fixture is perfect for dry locations and adds a touch of sophistication to any room.
Best for
- Bedrooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Living rooms and family rooms, as a central ceiling light that blends with traditional decor
- Hallways and corridors, offering even, diffused illumination
- Dining rooms with low ceilings, where a pendant would be too low
- Home offices, providing soft, glare-free light for workspaces
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or damp locations (dry-rated only)
- Spaces requiring very bright task lighting—this fixture provides ambient light (max 240W total)
- Rooms with ceilings over 10 ft, where a flush mount may feel too low-profile
How bright is it?
With four 60W A19 bulbs (not included), the fixture can produce up to 3200 lumens total—bright enough for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The white fabric shade and satin etched glass bottom create a soft, diffused light that is warm and inviting. Bulb color temperature depends on your choice; warm white (2700K-3000K) complements the champagne bronze finish. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The flush mount has a shade diameter of 19.25 inches and a height of 8.25 inches. The backplate is 15 inches in diameter. Best suited for ceilings 8 ft or higher, with a recommended room size of 10x10 ft or larger.
