A 1-light outdoor wall sconce in textured black with clear ribbed glass, designed for wet locations and built with weather-resistant composite material, ideal for covered patios and entryways.
The Brix outdoor wall light by Kichler updates the classic carriage lantern with a soft pill shape and ribbed jelly jar glass. The textured black finish and industrial style make it a standout. Part of the Kichler Climates collection, it is engineered with a weather-resistant composite material to withstand harsh weather elements.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, mounted on exterior walls for ambient lighting
- Entryways and front doors, flanking the door for a welcoming glow
- Garage and side entrances, providing security and visibility
- Outdoor living spaces where a durable, weather-resistant fixture is needed
Not ideal for
- Indoor spaces where a more refined finish may be preferred
- Areas with direct rain exposure if not fully covered (though rated for wet locations, the fixture is best under an eave)
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting - this is an accent/ambient light
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb used. The fixture accepts one A19 bulb (E26 medium base, up to 60W incandescent or equivalent LED). Using a 60W incandescent, you can expect about 800 lumens - similar to a standard household lamp, suitable for accent or ambient outdoor lighting.
Light color and feel
The clear ribbed glass adds texture and sparkle to the light. For a warm, inviting glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fixture is not specified as dimmable, so use a standard non-dimmable bulb unless you confirm compatibility.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 7 inches wide, 19.25 inches tall, and extends 7.25 inches from the wall. The backplate is 8.5 x 6 inches. The height from center of wall opening is 8.5 inches. Ideal for mounting on exterior walls with standard junction boxes.
