A 6-inch wall sconce with a vintage oil-lamp silhouette, finished in matte black with polished nickel accents and a seeded glass globe - ideal for hallways, bedrooms, and other damp-rated indoor spaces.
The Saybrook sconce recalls the clean lines of an old vintage oil lamp, reimagined with a modern dual metal finish. The matte black backplate and canopy contrast with polished nickel details, while the seeded glass globe adds texture and diffuses light softly. It brings an antique feel to contemporary interiors, working equally well in transitional, industrial, and restoration-vintage settings.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors, mounted at eye level to provide warm accent lighting
- Bedrooms, placed beside the bed as a reading sconce or ambient light
- Living rooms and sitting areas, adding a vintage touch to a modern space
- Damp-rated locations like covered porches or bathrooms without direct shower exposure
- Pairing with other Saybrook fixtures to create a cohesive look
Not ideal for
- Spaces where you need bright, task-level illumination - this sconce provides 245 lumens, best for accent or ambient light
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray, despite the damp rating
- Very large rooms where a single sconce would be lost - consider multiple fixtures or a larger light source
How bright is it?
245 lumens - about as bright as a 25W incandescent bulb. This is ideal for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary room light. It's perfect for creating a warm, inviting glow in hallways and bedrooms.
Light color and feel
2100K extra warm white - a very soft, amber tone similar to candlelight. It creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The recommended vintage bulb has a high CRI of 98, rendering colors accurately. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright and lively to soft and intimate.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 6 inches wide, 10.5 inches high, and extends 7.5 inches from the wall. The glass globe is 6 inches wide and 5.75 inches high. It's compact enough for narrow hallways and works well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. The backplate is 5 inches in diameter, providing a stable mount.
