Best for
- Entryways with 8-10 foot ceilings, mounted to provide a warm welcome
- Hallways 4-6 feet wide, providing even ambient light
- Bedrooms with a 10-12 foot ceiling, as a central light source
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, for a soft, ambient glow
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet, as the fixture hangs 13.63 inches and may feel too low
- Spaces requiring a very bright, task-oriented light - the fixture is designed for ambient lighting
How bright is it?
The fixture accepts three bulbs (not included) with a maximum of 100 watts per socket. The actual brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. For reference, three 60-watt incandescent bulbs would produce about 2400 lumens, suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The mercury glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, shimmering effect that adds elegance to the room. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 23.75 inches in diameter and 13.63 inches in height. It is designed for flush mounting with a 2mm heavy cast canopy. The fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable, so it is best for flat ceilings.
