A 7-inch globe wall sconce with a satin gold frame and mercury glass shade, ideal for bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces.
The Preston sconce pairs a hand-blown globe shade with intricate fluting and a streamlined Arcadia frame. The satin gold finish and mercury glass create a vintage-industrial look that works in transitional and modern interiors. This fixture offers both form and function, adding a chic accent to any wall.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed
- Hallways and entryways, providing ambient accent light
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Dining rooms, as accent lighting on a feature wall
- Staircases, adding light and style to landings
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces with very low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce extends 8 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
This sconce accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With a standard 100W bulb, it produces about 1600 lumens - bright enough for accent or ambient lighting, but not as a primary room light. LED bulbs can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle glow that flatters the satin gold finish. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 11.75 inches high, with an 8-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high. This sconce works well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings and can be mounted vertically.
