A 7-inch globe wall sconce in polished nickel with mercury glass, designed for bathrooms and hallways.
The Preston collection features a globe-shaped glass shade with intricate fluting, paired with a streamlined Arcadia frame. The balance of curves and clean lines creates a chic, timeless look that fits modern, industrial, and transitional interiors.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a single or double vanity, mounted on either side of the mirror for balanced task lighting
- Hallways and corridors, spaced evenly to provide ambient light and visual rhythm
- Powder rooms, adding a touch of vintage-modern charm above a console or pedestal sink
- Bedrooms as bedside sconces, paired with dimmer switches for adjustable reading light
- Entryways, flanking a mirror or artwork to create a welcoming glow
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Spaces with very low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce extends 8 inches from the wall
- Rooms where you need bright, focused task lighting - this is an accent fixture, not a primary light source
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With a standard 100W bulb, you can expect roughly 1600 lumens - bright enough for ambient and accent lighting in medium-sized rooms, but not as intense as a large chandelier.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the light level to suit your mood. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, inviting glow. For a warm, traditional feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb; for a cooler, more modern look, choose 3500K-4000K.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 7 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 11.75 inches high, with an extension of 8 inches. The rectangular backplate measures 4.5 by 6.25 inches. This sconce works well in bathrooms, hallways, and bedrooms with standard 8-foot ceilings.
