A 6-inch wall sconce from the Preston Collection, finished in satin gold with a mercury glass shade, perfect for bathrooms and hallways.
This sconce features an elongated bell-shaped glass shade with fluted detailing, adding texture and sophistication. The sleek Arcadia frame in satin gold enhances its modern appeal, making it a refined yet functional lighting choice. The hand-blown glass and heavy cast backplate ensure durability and style.
Best for
- Bathrooms, flanking a mirror above a vanity for task lighting
- Hallways, providing ambient light and visual interest
- Bedrooms, as reading sconces beside the bed
- Living rooms, highlighting artwork or architectural features
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas without cover, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as it extends 7.63 inches from the wall
- Primary room lighting in large rooms, as it is a single 100W fixture
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to about 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. It's suitable for accent and task lighting, but not as a sole light source for a large room.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, ambient glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness. The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; for a warm, cozy feel, opt for a 2700K-3000K LED bulb.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 7.63 inches wide, 6.25 inches deep, and 13.5 inches high, with an extension of 7.63 inches. It works well in bathrooms or hallways with standard 8-9 ft ceilings. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high.
