Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above a nightstand
- Hallways and corridors, spaced evenly for ambient lighting
- Dining rooms, to create a warm, intimate atmosphere
- Living rooms, as accent lighting to highlight artwork or architectural details
- Entryways, to create a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with very low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce extends 7.63 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
This sconce accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included), which typically produces around 1600 lumens - bright enough for accent or ambient lighting, but not intended as a primary room light. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting ambiance, select a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle, flattering glow. This fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 6.25 inches wide, 7.63 inches deep, and 13.5 inches high, with a 7.63-inch extension from the wall. The rectangular backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high. It works well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings and can be mounted vertically.
