A compact globe-shaped flush mount with a brushed brass canopy and mercury glass shade, ideal for bedrooms, hallways, and covered porches.
The Newton Sphere collection brings modern industrial style with a classic globe silhouette. The hand-blown mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, while the brushed brass finish adds warmth. The heavy cast canopy and thumb-screw shade removal make it easy to install and clean.
Best for
- Bedrooms 10x12 ft or larger, as a flush mount ceiling light
- Hallways and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Covered porches or patios, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Farmhouse or industrial-style interiors
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated, but not wet rated
- Sloped ceilings - not adaptable
- Spaces needing bright task lighting - 100W max bulb provides ambient light
How bright is it?
With a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can output up to 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. For a softer glow, use a 60W equivalent LED bulb. It's suitable for ambient lighting, not as a primary work light.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shade creates a soft, diffused light with a slight silver tint. If using a 2700K LED bulb, expect a warm, cozy glow. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 8"L x 8"W x 12.5"H. The flush mount design fits ceilings as low as 8 ft. The canopy is 4.5" diameter, and the fixture weighs 4 lbs.
