Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. The fixture accepts one medium-base (E26) bulb up to 60W equivalent LED. With a typical 800-lumen LED bulb, it provides ample task light for a kitchen island or dining table. For ambient mood lighting, a 40W equivalent (450 lumens) works well.

Use a vintage ST64 bulb (recommended) in warm white 2700K-3000K for a soft, amber glow that complements the brass and rope. The clear glass shade shows the bulb filament, adding an industrial accent. Dimmable with compatible bulbs and dimmer.
