An 8-inch flush mount ceiling light from the Crown Point Collection, finished in matte black with a light smoke deco swirl glass shade, ideal for kitchens, hallways, and other spaces with lower ceilings.
The Crown Point Collection takes an industrial approach to modern sophistication. This fixture features a globe-shaped glass shade set in a restoration-style frame with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The matte black finish and light smoke deco swirl glass create a vintage yet contemporary look that complements a variety of decor styles.
Best for
- Kitchens with 8-foot ceilings, providing ambient light over a sink or prep area
- Hallways and entryways, mounted flush to the ceiling to maintain headroom
- Bedrooms and living rooms with low ceilings, offering a compact lighting solution
- Damp-rated locations such as covered porches or bathrooms with ventilation
- Industrial or restoration-style interiors seeking a vintage touch
Not ideal for
- Large open rooms needing bright, widespread illumination - this is a single-bulb fixture
- Sloped ceilings - this model is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Spaces requiring a modern, minimalist aesthetic - the design is distinctly industrial
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can produce up to about 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. This is suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms, but not as a primary task light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The light smoke deco swirl glass will diffuse the light, creating a soft, ambient glow. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 8 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 9.63 inches high. It is designed for flush mounting on flat ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. This compact size works well in rooms with 8-foot ceilings or lower.
