A 6-inch flush mount ceiling light with a mercury glass globe, finished in brushed brass, for hallways, bedrooms, and other spaces with lower ceilings.
The Caden Beacon flush mount brings industrial character to a modern silhouette. Its exposed fittings and hand-blown mercury glass globe create a vintage-inspired look that pairs well with both traditional and contemporary decor. The brushed brass finish adds warmth, while the compact size makes it a versatile choice for rooms where a pendant or chandelier won't fit.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-foot ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms, mounted centered on the ceiling for a soft, warm glow
- Kitchens and dining areas, as a supplemental light over a table or island
- Bathrooms and covered patios, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Small rooms up to 75 square feet, as a primary light source
Not ideal for
- Large open-concept spaces over 150 square feet, as a single fixture may not provide enough light
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Areas requiring a very bright, task-oriented light, since the maximum wattage is 100W
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. The fixture accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) or an equivalent LED, fluorescent, or halogen bulb. With a 100W incandescent, you can expect around 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, which is bright enough for ambient lighting in a small to medium room. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color is determined by the bulb you select. For a warm, cozy atmosphere, choose a bulb with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The mercury glass shade diffuses light, creating a soft, even glow that flatters skin tones and adds a vintage ambiance. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
This flush mount measures 6 inches in diameter and 10.75 inches in height. It is designed for flat ceilings and requires a minimum ceiling height of about 8 feet. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs only 3 lbs, making it easy to install.
