How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It accepts one 100W incandescent equivalent (E26 base) bulb. With a 100W incandescent, you get about 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, enough for a small to medium room. For a softer glow, use a 60W equivalent LED.
