Best for
- Hallways, mounted at eye level to create a warm, inviting path
- Entryways, flanking a door or mirror for a grand first impression
- Living rooms, used as accent lighting on a feature wall
- Bedrooms, as a reading light beside the bed
- Dining rooms, adding ambient light to a buffet or sideboard
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor areas without protection from rain or moisture
- Spaces where you need bright, primary lighting - this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
This sconce is rated for a 100-watt incandescent bulb (not included). With an LED equivalent, you can expect around 1600 lumens - similar to a 100W incandescent, bright enough for accent and ambient lighting.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs. The mercury glass shade diffuses light with a soft, reflective glow, creating a vintage, romantic atmosphere. For a warm, inviting feel, use a bulb with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 5 inches wide, 10.75 inches high, and extends 7 inches from the wall. It has a backplate of 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high. This size works well in hallways, entryways, and other spaces with standard 8-foot ceilings.
