Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms over a rectangular table, centered for even illumination
- Open-plan living areas where a statement fixture defines the zone
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 38.75-inch drop
How bright is it?
Each socket accepts up to a 100W bulb (bulbs not included), so total output depends on your bulb choice. With four 100W incandescent equivalents, you can achieve a bright, functional light for meal prep or dining. For a softer ambiance, use lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The slate glass shades diffuse light, creating a warm, even glow that flatters food and skin tones. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from bright task lighting to a cozy dinner setting. Use a standard dimmer switch for best results.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 48 inches wide, 7.88 inches deep, and 11.8 inches high, with a hanging height adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems. The rectangular canopy is 6.25 inches wide. Ideal for islands and tables 4-8 feet long.
