A 48-inch, 4-light island light from the Brookhaven Flute Collection, finished in matte black with sapphire blue glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Brookhaven Flute island light features a sleek, industrial design with a matte black finish and hand-blown sapphire blue glass shades. The bell-shaped shades add a pop of color, making this fixture a dynamic centerpiece for your kitchen or dining space. Made from metal and glass, it's built to last and adds a modern, vintage-inspired touch to your home.
Best for
- Kitchen islands measuring 6-8 feet long, centered above the counter for even task lighting
- Dining rooms with a rectangular table, hung 30-36 inches above the tabletop
- Open-concept living areas that need a statement light over a peninsula or bar
- Industrial or modern-contemporary interiors where a bold, colorful accent is desired
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or hallways where a 48-inch fixture would overwhelm the space
- Outdoor covered patios or porches - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated, so it's not suitable for direct rain exposure
- Low ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full hanging length, as the minimum height is 14.75 inches
How bright is it?
This fixture is rated for four 100W incandescent bulbs (not included), producing up to 1600 lumens total - about as bright as a single 100W incandescent bulb. This is ideal for ambient and accent lighting, not as a primary work light. For brighter task lighting, consider pairing with under-cabinet lights.
Light color and feel
With compatible bulbs, you can choose your light color. For a warm, cozy feel, use 2700K bulbs; for a cooler, more energizing light, use 4000K. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the mood from bright to subtle. The sapphire blue glass adds a colorful, artistic element to the light.
Sizing and fit
This island light measures 48 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 15.88 inches high. The canopy is 4.5 x 6.25 x 0.75 inches. It's designed for sloped ceilings with the included 90-degree swivel.
