A 48-inch four-light island light from Innovations Lighting, finished in antique brass with slate glass bell shades, for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Brookhaven Flute collection combines industrial charm with modern versatility. This island light features four hand-blown glass bell shades in a slate color, suspended from an antique brass frame. The adjustable stem lengths and sloped ceiling adaptability make it a flexible choice for various ceiling types. Its sleek design fits seamlessly into industrial, modern, or transitional interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, providing focused task lighting over the counter
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, creating a warm ambient glow
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
- Open-concept living areas where a linear island light defines the space
- Spaces needing adjustable hanging height, with stems that allow customization up to 30 inches
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite its damp rating, as the glass shades may show water spots
- Low ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 14.75 inches
- Spaces requiring a single, compact light source, as this is a linear island light
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. The fixture accepts four medium-base (E26) bulbs, each up to 100 watts. With four 60W incandescent bulbs, you'll get about 3,600 lumens - enough to light a kitchen island or dining table brightly. For a softer glow, use four 40W bulbs (about 2,000 lumens) for ambient light.
Light color and feel
The light color is determined by your bulb choice. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The slate glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, even illumination that flatters wood tones and brass finishes. This fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable bulbs, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
This island light measures 48 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 15.88 inches high overall. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches, making it suitable for most ceiling heights. The canopy is 6.25 inches wide. Ideal for kitchen islands or dining tables in rooms at least 12x14 feet.
