An 8-inch wall sconce from the Athens Deco Swirl Collection, finished in black antique brass with a hand-blown light smoke glass shade, for hallways and bedroom accent lighting.
The Athens Deco Swirl sconce adds a touch of vintage-industrial charm to any wall. The black antique brass finish is complemented by the hand-blown glass shade in a light smoke tone, creating a warm, diffused glow. Its globe shape and rectangular backplate make it a versatile accent for transitional and modern spaces.
Best for
- Hallways, mounted at eye level to create a welcoming path of light
- Bedrooms, flanking the bed as reading lights
- Living rooms, highlighting artwork or architectural features
- Staircases, providing ambient light along the stairwell
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this sconce is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Large rooms needing primary illumination - a single 100W bulb provides accent light, not whole-room brightness
- Spaces with very narrow walls, as the sconce extends 7.44 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W bulb, this sconce can produce up to about 1600 lumens (if using a 100W equivalent LED), similar to a traditional 100W incandescent. It's ideal for accent and task lighting, but not as a primary light source for a large room.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the light to your preferred warmth. The light smoke glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm and inviting glow. For a classic look, pair it with a T-series shaped bulb (sold separately) in a warm color temperature (2700K-3000K).
Sizing and fit
This sconce measures 8 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 11 inches high. It extends 7.44 inches from the wall. The rectangular backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high, and the fixture is designed for vertical mounting.
