A 14-inch rope cord pendant from the Astor collection, finished in brushed brass with brown rope and a seedy glass globe, for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Astor pendant blends rustic charm with modern elegance. Its intricate rope-wrapped stem and hand-blown seedy glass globe add texture and depth, making it a standout focal point above a counter or table. The brushed brass canopy and gold cord complete the industrial look.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, hung in a row of two or three for even task lighting
- Dining rooms with a 4-6 ft table, centered above for ambient and accent light
- Entryways and stairwells with sloped ceilings, thanks to its sloped-ceiling compatibility
- Living rooms with high ceilings, used as a statement piece over a coffee table
- Breakfast nooks and home bars, adding warm, vintage-inspired illumination
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 120-inch cord length
- Primary room lighting in large open-plan areas - a single 100W bulb may not suffice
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a 100W incandescent bulb (not included) - roughly 1600 lumens, similar to a bright household bulb. This is suitable for ambient and accent lighting, not as the sole light source for a large room.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, pair with a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The seedy glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare while still showing the bulb's silhouette. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 14 inches in diameter and 18.5 inches high, with an adjustable hanging height from 22.25 to 139.25 inches thanks to the 120-inch cord. The canopy is 4.75 inches round. Ideal for ceilings 8 ft or higher.
