A white steel multi-port canopy from the Custom Cord collection, designed to hold up to three pendant lights - a versatile ceiling mount for creating custom lighting arrangements.
The Custom Cord canopy is a heavy cast steel canopy that mounts to a standard electrical box and provides three ports for hanging pendant lights. Its clean white finish and transitional style make it a flexible foundation for DIY lighting designs, allowing you to mix and match pendant shades to suit your space.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, used as a base for multiple pendants
- Dining rooms, creating a custom chandelier effect with three pendant lights
- Entryways and foyers, adding a unique lighting arrangement
- Living rooms with high ceilings, used to suspend statement pendants
- Commercial spaces like cafes and restaurants for custom lighting installations
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with low ceilings where pendant lights would hang too low
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the pendant lights you attach. Each port supports up to 100W incandescent bulbs, so with three pendants you can achieve up to 4,800 lumens if using 100W equivalent LEDs - enough for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color is determined by the bulbs and shades you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select 2700K-3000K bulbs; for a cooler, more modern feel, opt for 3500K-5000K. The canopy itself does not affect light color.
Sizing and fit
The canopy measures 5.88 inches in diameter and 1.62 inches in height, making it compact and unobtrusive on the ceiling. It mounts to a standard electrical box and is sloped ceiling adaptable, so it works on angled ceilings.
