A 22-inch capiz shell pendant for kitchen islands and dining rooms, finished in vintage gold leaf.
The Stamford pendant layers natural capiz shell tiles like overlapping scales to form a shimmering globe that catches and diffuses light. A vintage gold leaf loop, inspired by fine jewelry, adds a luxe finishing note. Because capiz is a natural material, exact colors and patterns vary slightly from piece to piece.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and dining rooms with 9-10 ft ceilings
- Entryways and foyers where a statement pendant is the focal point
- Bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, hung as a soft ambient centerpiece
- Coastal and organic-modern interiors that lean on natural materials
Not ideal for
- Low ceilings under 8 ft - the minimum hang height is 32.25 in
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure; rated CUL Damp, not wet
- Spaces needing bright task light - this is a 25W accent pendant
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With one 25W E26 bulb, expect soft ambient light - enough to define a dining table or island, not to light a whole room.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. A warm 2700K-3000K bulb flatters the gold leaf and shell tones; a cooler bulb will read more neutral. Dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
Sizing and fit
22 in diameter x 28.5 in high, with an adjustable hang length from 32.25 in to 85 in on a 54 in chain. The 5 in canopy suits standard junction boxes. Sloped ceiling compatible.
