A 21-inch tapered lamp shade in Bloom Slate printed cotton, balancing a tailored traditional silhouette with a soft gathered finish.
The Gathered Taper Shade is the more structured of the Gathered family - a clean tapered cone that reads slightly traditional, softened by gathered printed cotton so it never looks stiff. Bloom Slate is a muted, grayed blue that sits easily with linen, wood, and aged metal. It suits lamps that want a little more shape than a drum but not a dramatic wide flare.
Best for
- Bedrooms and living rooms with standard table lamps or floor lamps
- Lamps with a 9-inch top fitting and a base that suits a 21-inch bottom width
- Traditional and transitional rooms that want a tailored shade shape
- Pairing two shades across a matched pair of bedside lamps
Not ideal for
- Oversized lamp bases that need a wider 22-inch shade
- Very modern, hard-edged rooms if you want a crisp drum or box shade
- Anyone expecting a hardback shade - this is a soft textile shade with a gathered finish
Style and finish
Bloom Slate printed cotton over a textile body, in a gathered taper silhouette. The look is tailored and quietly traditional, closer to a collected classic room than a modern minimalist one.
