A 96-inch downrod smart ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire DC Custom collection, finished in matte white with matte white blades, for large covered outdoor and indoor living spaces.
The Spitfire DC Custom is a statement-scale ceiling fan built for big rooms that need serious airflow. The all-matte-white finish gives it a clean, contemporary look that blends into modern and coastal interiors. Its 6-speed DC motor moves up to 12,413 CFM while staying quiet and energy-efficient, and the included TR360 remote plus Wi-Fi fanSync app control put fan speed, reversing, and optional lighting at your fingertips. Damp rated for covered outdoor use, it brings smart comfort to patios, porches, and sunrooms.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches where damp-rated construction is essential
- Great rooms and open-plan living areas with ceilings of 10 feet or higher
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need powerful, quiet airflow
- Rooms with standard 8-9 foot ceilings using the included 6-inch downrod
- Smart-home setups with voice assistants or the fanSync app
Not ideal for
- Low ceilings under 8 feet where a flush mount would be more appropriate
- Directly exposed outdoor areas where the fan would face rain or water spray
- Small rooms under 12x12 feet where this 96-inch sweep would overwhelm the space
How bright is it?
This fan is compatible with an optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that delivers 1600 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100-watt incandescent bulb - enough for ambient lighting in a large room, though not a replacement for task lighting.
Light color and feel
With the optional CCT Select light kit, you can choose from five color temperatures - 2700K warm white, 3000K soft white, 3500K neutral, 4000K cool white, or 5000K daylight - to match the mood from cozy evenings to bright daytime. The high CRI of 90 ensures colors appear natural and accurate.
Sizing and fit
This downrod version includes both 6-inch and 12-inch downrods, with an overall height of 19.69 inches when using the 6-inch rod. The 96-inch blade sweep covers a large area, so it's best suited for rooms at least 18x18 feet. Optional downrods up to 72 inches allow for higher ceilings.
