An 84-inch downrod smart ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit featuring a double-walled marine-grade glass shade, finished in antique graphite with Light Oak blades, for large covered outdoor and indoor spaces.
The Spitfire DC Custom is a powerful, stylish fan designed for expansive areas. The antique graphite motor housing is paired with three Light Oak blades, crafted from buttonwood, for a clean, airy look. This version includes an integrated 24-watt LED light kit with CCT Select technology, offering five color temperatures from warm to cool. The double-walled glass shade is constructed with marine-grade materials, making it suitable for outdoor wet locations. With Wi-Fi enabled fanSync technology and a handheld remote, you get full control over fan speed, light color, and dimming from anywhere.
Best for
- Covered patios, porches, and sunrooms where damp-rated fixtures are required
- Great rooms, open-plan living areas, and large bedrooms with ceilings at least 9 ft high
- Rooms with standard or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 20 degrees) - downrods included
- Smart-home setups - control via the fanSync app, voice assistants, or the included remote
- Year-round comfort with a reversible DC motor for summer and winter airflow
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated, despite the marine-grade light kit
- Small rooms under 12 x 12 ft where an 84-inch sweep would overpower the space
- Low ceilings under 8 ft - the downrod adds height, so a flush mount may be better
How bright is it?
The integrated LED module produces 2000 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 150-watt incandescent bulb. This is sufficient for ambient lighting in a large room, and the light is dimmable via the included remote.
Light color and feel
Choose from five color temperatures - 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (cool white), and 5000K (daylight). With a CRI of 90, colors appear vibrant and true-to-life. The light is dimmable, and the included remote allows infinite dimming control.
Sizing and fit
This fan has an 84-inch blade sweep and measures 84 x 84 x 22 inches with the included 12-inch downrod. It includes both 6-inch and 12-inch downrods, and optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the recommended hanging height of 7 to 9 feet. The canopy is 8.76 inches in diameter and 2.52 inches high, and the housing is 8.07 inches in diameter.
