An 84-inch indoor/outdoor smart ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit, finished in brushed nickel with black blades, for large covered patios, great rooms, and open-plan living areas.
The Spitfire DC Custom pairs a streamlined, modern silhouette with serious airflow. The brushed nickel motor housing and black buttonwood blades give it a clean, contemporary look that suits both coastal and industrial interiors. This version includes a double-walled marine-grade light kit with clear glass, engineered for durability in damp environments. With Wi-Fi enabled fanSync technology and a handheld remote, you get smart control over fan speed, light dimming, and color temperature from your couch or your phone.
Best for
- Covered patios, porches, and sunrooms where damp-rated fixtures are required
- Large living rooms and great rooms (over 18 x 20 ft) needing high-volume airflow
- Bedrooms and home offices where quiet, energy-efficient cooling is a priority
- Spaces with ceilings up to 20° slope, using the included 6-inch or 12-inch downrods
- Smart-home setups - control via the fanSync app, voice assistants, or the included remote
Not ideal for
- Directly exposed outdoor areas - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated, so it should not be installed where it will be hit by rain or water spray
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet unless you use the flush-mount version, as the downrod adds height
- Small spaces under 12 x 12 ft - the 84-inch sweep is oversized for compact rooms
How bright is it?
The integrated LED module delivers 2000 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 150W incandescent bulb. That's bright enough to serve as the primary light in a large living room or covered patio, and it's fully dimmable for softer ambient moments.
Light color and feel
With CCT Select technology, you can choose from five color temperatures: 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (cool white), and 5000K (daylight). This lets you shift from a cozy, golden glow to crisp, energizing light. The 90 CRI rating means colors appear vivid and accurate, ideal for spaces where you want true-to-life illumination.
Sizing and fit
This fan spans 84 inches blade-to-blade, making it best for large rooms. With the included 6-inch and 12-inch downrods, the ceiling-to-bottom height ranges from 16 to 22 inches (with light kit). For optimal airflow, Fanimation recommends hanging the fan 7 to 9 feet above the floor. Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings.
