A 72-inch flush-mount smart ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire DC Custom collection, finished in matte black with whiskey wood blades, for large covered outdoor and indoor living spaces.
The Spitfire DC Custom pairs a streamlined black motor housing with three whiskey wood blades to create a modern, sculptural silhouette that suits contemporary and transitional interiors. Its powerful yet quiet DC motor delivers up to 9,639 CFM of airflow, while the included handheld remote and Wi-Fi fanSync app give you full control over speed, direction, and optional lighting. Damp-rated for covered outdoor use, this fan is built to handle humid environments without sacrificing style.
Best for
- Covered patios, porches, and sunrooms where a low-profile flush mount is needed
- Large living rooms and great rooms with ceilings 8 ft or higher
- Bedrooms and home offices needing quiet, energy-efficient air movement
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with high humidity (damp-rated)
- Smart-home setups with voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed directly to rain or water - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Small rooms under 12x12 ft where a 72-inch sweep may be overpowering
- Rooms with ceilings lower than 8 ft if you prefer a downrod mount
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit. It is compatible with an optional integrated 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that outputs 1600 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb - suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms.
