A 72-inch downrod smart ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire DC Custom collection, finished in matte white with black blades and an integrated LED light kit, for large covered outdoor and indoor spaces.
The Spitfire DC Custom pairs a streamlined matte white motor housing with three black buttonwood blades, creating a modern, low-profile look that suits contemporary covered patios, sunrooms, and great rooms. Its powerful 6-speed DC motor delivers up to 9,639 CFM of airflow while staying quiet and energy-efficient, and the included TR360 remote plus Wi-Fi fanSync app control make it easy to adjust from anywhere. This downrod version includes a 6-inch and 12-inch downrod for flexible installation, and it's damp rated for covered outdoor use.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where its damp rating and moisture-resistant blades handle humidity without direct rain exposure
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing powerful, quiet airflow
- Large living rooms and great rooms with ceilings 8 feet or higher, using the included downrods to achieve optimal hanging height
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms where damp-rated fixtures are required
- Smart-home setups, thanks to Wi-Fi fanSync compatibility with voice assistants and the fanSync app
Not ideal for
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet, as the downrod adds height; consider the flush-mount version
- Outdoor areas exposed directly to rain or water, since it is damp rated, not wet rated
- Small rooms under 12x12 feet, where a 72-inch blade sweep may feel overpowering
How bright is it?
The integrated 18-watt LED light kit outputs 1,600 lumens—about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb—suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms.
Light color and feel
You can select from five color temperatures—2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K—ranging from warm, cozy light to bright daylight. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vibrant and accurate, ideal for living spaces and kitchens.
