A 72-inch flush-mount smart ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in black with matte white blades, designed for large indoor and covered outdoor spaces.
The Spitfire DC Custom brings a streamlined, modern look to big rooms. The black motor housing pairs with three matte white blades to create a clean, contemporary silhouette. Its powerful 6-speed DC motor moves up to 9,639 CFM of air quietly, making it a workhorse for living areas, great rooms, and covered patios. With Wi-Fi enabled fanSync technology, you can control the fan from your smartphone or voice assistant, and the included TR360 remote puts all controls at your fingertips. The fan is damp rated, so it's safe for covered outdoor areas and humid indoor spaces.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp rating and weather-resistant blades shine
- Great rooms and open-concept living areas with high ceilings, where the 72-inch sweep provides powerful airflow
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need year-round comfort
- Primary bedrooms and large home offices where quiet operation is a priority
- Low-ceiling rooms where the flush mount keeps headroom clear
Not ideal for
- Small rooms under 12x12 ft, where the 72-inch blade sweep may be overpowering
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water - this fan is damp rated, not wet rated
- Rooms with sloped ceilings - this flush-mount model is designed for flat ceilings only
How bright is it?
This fan is compatible with an optional integrated 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that delivers 1600 lumens - about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in a large room. The light kit features CCT Select technology, letting you choose from five color temperatures.
Light color and feel
When paired with the optional light kit, you can select from 2700K (warm white) to 5000K (daylight) to match your mood and activity. The 90 CRI rating ensures colors appear vibrant and true, ideal for living spaces where you want accurate color rendering. The light is dimmable via the remote for complete control.
Sizing and fit
This fan measures 72 inches in diameter and hangs just 9.65 inches from the ceiling, making it an excellent choice for rooms with 8-foot ceilings. The flush mount keeps it close to the ceiling, maximizing headroom. It's best suited for rooms at least 15x15 feet to balance the large blade sweep.
