A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan without a light kit, designed for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms.
The Spitfire from Fanimation combines a sleek three-blade silhouette with a matte black motor housing and weathered wood buttonwood blades, offering a rustic-industrial look for patios, porches, and sunrooms. The reversible AC motor delivers powerful airflow up to 5,176 CFM, and the fan is compatible with an optional LED light kit (sold separately) for added versatility.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp rating protects against humidity and moisture
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need airflow without a built-in light
- Large bedrooms, living rooms, or great rooms (12x14 ft or larger) with ceilings at least 8 ft high
- Spaces with sloped ceilings up to 19 degrees, using the included 4.5-inch downrod
- Smart home setups, as it works with Fanimation fanSync and most smart home devices (control sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Areas directly exposed to rain or water, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms that need a light source, as the light kit is not included
- Small spaces under 8x10 ft, where the 48-inch sweep may feel overpowering
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on the optional LED light kit, which is sold separately. The compatible kit offers 1,500 lumens at 3000K.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional LED light kit, it provides warm 3000K light with a CRI of 90, flattering skin tones and wood finishes. The light is dimmable via the included TR500 remote.
Sizing and fit
The fan measures 48 inches wide, 48 inches deep, and 12 inches high. It includes a 4.5-inch downrod for standard ceilings; optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings. The canopy is 7.09 inches in diameter, and the lead wire is 80 inches long.
