A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in matte white with three koa wood blades, for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a matte white motor housing and warm koa wood blades, giving it a modern yet organic look that suits coastal, transitional, and contemporary interiors. With a powerful AC motor delivering up to 5,176 CFM, it moves air effectively across patios, sunrooms, and open-plan living areas. The included TR500 handheld remote puts fan speed and optional light control at your fingertips, and the reversible motor keeps you comfortable year-round.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp-rated motor and moisture-resistant blades handle humidity without direct rain exposure
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing reliable air movement in humid conditions
- Large living rooms or great rooms (15x15 ft or larger) with standard or slightly sloped ceilings
- Bedrooms and home offices where a quiet, energy-efficient fan with remote control is desired
- Homes with smart assistants, since the fan is compatible with Fanimation fanSync and most smart home systems (control sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas with direct rain or water spray - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft unless you use the optional close-to-ceiling mount (sold separately)
- Small spaces under 10x10 ft where a 48-inch sweep may feel oversized
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit. It is compatible with an optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that outputs 1500 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100-watt incandescent bulb - suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms.
Light color and feel
When paired with the optional LED light kit, the 3000K warm white light creates a soft, golden glow similar to traditional incandescent bulbs, flattering skin tones and warm wood finishes. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vibrant and accurate, ideal for living spaces and kitchens.
Sizing and fit
The fan measures 48 inches in diameter and hangs 12 inches from the ceiling with the included 4.5-inch downrod. It fits flat or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 19 degrees). Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the recommended 7-9 ft hanging height. For lower ceilings, a close-to-ceiling kit is sold separately.
