A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in dark bronze with white washed buttonwood blades - built for covered outdoor spaces and humid indoor rooms.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a dark bronze motor housing and white washed buttonwood blades, giving it a clean, contemporary look that suits both modern and transitional interiors. Its damp-rated construction means it can handle the humidity of a covered patio, sunroom, or bathroom without worry, while the reversible AC motor delivers year-round comfort by switching airflow direction seasonally. The included TR500 handheld remote puts fan speed and light control (if you add the optional LED kit) at your fingertips.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, mounted on flat or slightly sloped ceilings up to 19°
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms where humidity and moisture are a concern
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with adequate ceiling height
- Bedrooms and living spaces up to 15 x 15 ft, where 5,176 CFM high-speed airflow provides effective cooling
- Homes with 8-9 ft ceilings, using the included 4.5-inch downrod or optional longer downrods
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water - this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 7 ft, unless you use the optional close-to-ceiling mount (not included)
- Large open great rooms over 20 x 20 ft, where a 60-inch or larger fan would be more effective
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit. If you add the optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately), it delivers 1,500 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb, bright enough for ambient lighting in a medium room, but not a primary task light.
Light color and feel
The optional LED light kit emits 3000K warm white light - a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. With a CRI of 90, it renders colors accurately, flattering skin tones and warm wood finishes. The light is dimmable, and the included TR500 remote allows infinite light level adjustment.
Sizing and fit
This 48-inch fan has an overall footprint of 48 x 48 inches and hangs 12 inches from the ceiling (without a light kit). It's designed for flat or slightly sloped ceilings up to 19°, and comes with a 4.5-inch downrod. Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the optimal 7-9 ft hanging height for maximum airflow.
