A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, designed for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms, finished in brushed nickel with black buttonwood blades.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a powerful AC motor, delivering up to 5,176 CFM of airflow. Its brushed nickel housing and black buttonwood blades give it a modern, industrial look that suits patios, sunrooms, and open-plan living areas. The included TR500 remote puts fan speed and light control at your fingertips, and the reversible motor keeps you comfortable year-round.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches where damp-rated construction is essential
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms with high humidity
- Large living rooms or great rooms up to 400 sq ft
- Bedrooms and home offices needing quiet, energy-efficient air movement
- Laundry rooms and bathrooms with adequate ceiling height
Not ideal for
- Areas directly exposed to rain or water—this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings lower than 8 ft unless you use a flush mount kit (sold separately)
- Small spaces under 100 sq ft where a 48-inch sweep may feel overpowering
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on the optional 18-watt LED module (sold separately). That module produces 1500 lumens—comparable to a 100-watt incandescent bulb—suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional LED light kit, it emits 3000K warm white light—a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vivid and natural, ideal for living spaces and kitchens. The light is dimmable via the included remote.
Sizing and fit
With a 48-inch blade sweep and 12-inch overall height (from ceiling to bottom without a light kit), this fan suits rooms at least 12 x 12 ft. It comes with a 4.5-inch downrod; optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the recommended 7–9 ft hanging height. The canopy fits flat or sloped ceilings up to 19 degrees.
