A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in antique graphite with three black buttonwood blades, for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms.
The Spitfire pairs a sleek three-blade silhouette with a sophisticated antique graphite finish and black buttonwood blades, giving it a modern, architectural look that suits both contemporary interiors and covered outdoor living areas. Its reversible AC motor delivers powerful airflow up to 5,176 CFM, while the included TR500 handheld remote puts speed and light control at your fingertips. Designed for damp locations, it stands up to humidity and moisture, making it a versatile choice for patios, sunrooms, and bathrooms.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where damp-rated construction handles humidity without direct rain exposure
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing year-round air movement
- Large bedrooms, living rooms, and family rooms up to 18 x 20 ft, with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with high moisture levels
- Smart home setups, as it's compatible with Fanimation fanSync and most smart devices (control sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Uncovered outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water
- Rooms with ceilings steeper than 19° slope without an angled-mount adapter
- Low ceilings under 8 ft if you prefer a flush mount (consider the flush-mount version)
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on your room's existing lighting. It's compatible with an optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that delivers 1,500 lumens—comparable to a 100W incandescent bulb—suitable for ambient lighting.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional LED light kit, it emits 3000K warm white light—a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. With a CRI of 90, it renders colors accurately, making it a good choice for living spaces and kitchens. The light is dimmable via the included remote.
Sizing and fit
With a 48-inch blade sweep and 12-inch overall height, this fan suits medium to large rooms. It comes with a 4.5-inch downrod; optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the optimal 7-9 ft hanging height. Designed for flat or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 19°).
