A striking 84-inch wet-rated ceiling fan with brushed nickel housing, black blades, and a dimmable LED light kit, designed for large covered outdoor spaces and modern interiors.
The Odyn by Fanimation is a bold, sculptural fan that makes a statement. Its DC motor delivers powerful airflow while using up to 70% less energy than traditional fans. The brushed nickel finish and black composite blades create a sleek, contemporary look, while the opal frosted glass diffuser softens the integrated LED light. Rated for wet locations, this fan is perfect for covered patios, verandas, and other damp environments.
Best for
- Covered patios, verandas, and screened porches where a wet-rated fan is required
- Great rooms, vaulted ceilings, and open-plan living areas of 400 sq ft or more
- Outdoor kitchens or covered dining areas that need both airflow and light
- Homes with high ceilings (10 ft or more) where the 84-inch sweep can shine
- Energy-conscious buyers who want a DC motor with six speeds and reverse
Not ideal for
- Small rooms under 12x12 ft - the 84-inch blade sweep will overwhelm the space
- Low ceilings under 9 ft - the fan hangs 16.64 inches from the ceiling, which may be too low
- Indoor-only installations if you need a fan that can also handle direct rain exposure (this is wet-rated, so it's fine outdoors, but it's large for most indoor rooms)
How bright is it?
The integrated 18W LED module delivers 1400 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 75W incandescent bulb. That's enough to light a large seating area or outdoor dining space, but it's not a replacement for a dedicated floodlight or landscape lighting.
Light color and feel
3000K warm white - a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent. It flatters skin tones and warm finishes, creating a cozy, inviting glow. The CRI of 90 ensures colors appear vivid and accurate, making it a good choice for spaces with artwork or rich fabrics. The LED is dimmable, and the included handheld remote makes it easy to adjust both fan speed and light level.
Sizing and fit
This fan has an 84-inch blade sweep and overall dimensions of 84 x 84 x 17 inches. The canopy is 6.5 inches in diameter, and the housing is 8.27 inches. From ceiling to blade edge is 12.2 inches, and ceiling to bottom (with light kit) is 16.64 inches. The 80-inch lead wire offers flexibility for mounting. Ideal for ceilings 10 ft or higher; for lower ceilings, consider a flush mount or shorter downrod (not included).
