A 6-inch ceiling fan light kit with one CFL globe bulb, finished in dark bronze, for adding efficient, warm light to kitchens and bedrooms.
This Fanimation my CFL Globe Fitter is a compact light kit designed to mount under a ceiling fan, providing energy-efficient illumination. The dark bronze finish adds a touch of warmth and complements many fan styles, and the single CFL globe bulb offers a warm, even glow. It's a practical upgrade for any fan without a light.
Best for
- Kitchens with a ceiling fan, providing general ambient light for meal prep and dining
- Bedrooms and living rooms where a fan is present and you want to add soft, warm light
- Covered patios or porches, as this kit is rated for damp locations
- Replacing an existing fan light kit that is outdated or damaged
- Homes with standard 8-9 ft ceilings, as the kit adds minimal height
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is rated for damp, not wet, locations
- Outdoor areas without overhead cover, such as open decks or gardens
- Spaces where you need bright, task-level lighting, as this kit provides only 1600 lumens
How bright is it?
This light kit produces 1600 lumens with one 23W CFL bulb (not included). That's roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb, making it suitable for ambient lighting in a medium-sized room, but not for task lighting like reading or cooking.
Light color and feel
The bulb is rated at 2700K warm white, which gives a soft, golden glow similar to traditional incandescent lighting. With a CRI of 80, colors appear fairly natural, though not as accurate as higher-CRI options. The kit is dimmable when used with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The kit measures 6 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and 7 inches high, with a ceiling-to-bottom height of 19.35 to 20.16 inches when installed. It's designed to fit most standard ceiling fans with a globe fitter mount. Weighing just 0.95 lbs, it adds minimal weight to your fan.
